it gives following error . It is while accessing 'ssoadm' command in the installOpenAM.sh script.

This may be an issue with the OS / OS version, or an incorrect Java version.

For Ubuntu, this worked:

Code: Select all

apt-get -y install debconf-utils
### http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html
apt-get -y install software-properties-common
add-apt-repository -y ppa:webupd8team/java
apt-get update
echo debconf shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | debconf-set-selections
echo debconf shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 seen true | debconf-set-selections
apt-get -y install oracle-java6-installer

thanks rami,
cause of error :: while installing openAm (installOpenAm.sh ) in ubuntu 12.04, chose the option of not using load balancer. In that case, $SITEPROP is null and hence during install in /opt/openamtools/auth/bin/ssoadm, the variable ${ISTEPROP} gets replaced with blank line. It looks like that caused the above the error. By changing the installopenam.sh , the error in installation is resolved but not sure it is the right change. [although while logging in openam i am getting error for
if [ "$SITECONFIG" == "yes" ]; then
sed -i.bak "s,\${SITEPROP},$SITEPROP," $SSOADM
else
sudo sed -i.back "/\${SITEPROP}/d" $SSOADM
fi

now it says the installation is successful, but accessing "https://sbacsso.test1.com/auth/console" it gives Error code: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in webpage.

I see in installopenAM.sh , in phase 5: Final Configuration of OpenAM" it sets up OpenDj datastore etc. Before going further, would like to clarify does it require running installOpenDj.sh (in opendj_release) separately.?

Hi Siju,
Yes, you will need to install OpenDJ before your system can operate properly. Furthermore, it is strongly recommended (if using HTTPS to connect the individual components of your system), that you use a load balancer even if there's only one instance of OAM behind it. This is in order to handle multiple connections to the OAM server, one coming over HTTPS and one coming over HTTP.

Here’s the mail I got recently when I get this problem again
I received the same msg ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED and was blocked from doing any searches.
(But I could listen to and watch Youtube videos!)
I don't know what your computer said, but I am running Google Chrome on windows 7 and above the message it said to:
1) Click on the Chrome Menu (the 2 bars in upper right hand corner of the Google Home page.
2) go to Settings > then "show advanced setting"
3) click Change proxy settings

4) click LAN Settings
5) UNclick "use a proxy server for your LAN"
Was still getting ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
Then closed all windows and programs
REBOOTED PC
Now, everything is fine! (REBOOTING (RESET) IS A NUISANCE, BUT IT HELPS)
I hope this info helps you.
